High speed air curtain
August 28th 2008 Hörmann UK says its top of the range high speed curtain, the V5030SE, is becoming an increasingly popular option for warehouses and distribution centres. Able to open at up to 3m/s, this product helps reduce energy wastage in heated or temperature sensitive environments while increasing operational efficiency.
Hörmann’s SoftEdge and anti-crash protection system helps protect goods, equipment and staff in the event of an accident on site. The system features a flexible bottom profile that is horizontally stable but vertically flexible and this significantly reduces any potential damage to the door, minimising downtime and saving on repair costs.
A high-tech feature of the V5030SE on the stand is the new wireless safety edge system which uses infrared transmission. A transmitter integrated in the bottom profile transmits the information to a receiver connected to the frame. This means that the high-maintenance coiled cable connection is no longer needed.
Perfect for internal and external use, the V5030SE easily withstands differential air pressures of up to 40km/h thanks to spring steel wind protectors that give the curtain the necessary stability. The V5030SE offers exceptionally quiet operation and is available in an assortment of RAL colours.
