Omni-channel delivery management specialist secures £20m funding

Provider of delivery management solutions for retailers MetaPack has received a £20m investment from Index Ventures to fund international growth.
The investment comes following a period of sustained expansion for MetaPack with an average annual revenue growth of 60% over the last four years. Now, with more than 75% of the UK’s top 100 online retailers including M&S, John Lewis and ASOS, using the MetaPack platform, the investment will be used to continue building support and products for existing customers, enhance MetaPack’s cross-border capabilities and fuel growth across Europe, the US and Asia.
Index Ventures’ investment portfolio already comprises an array of blue-chip technology companies including Skype, Last.fm, ASOS, MySQL and Betfair. Index partner Dominique Vidal will be join the MetaPack board, which already includes as Chairman, former CEO of Best Buy, Bob Willett, former Chief Executive of Tesco, Sir Terry Leahy, Iain McDonald, David Burtenshaw and Mike O’Connell. Dominique brings with him more than 20 years’ experience of growth companies, including his previous roles as CEO of Yahoo! Europe and founder of Kelkoo.
