Automated miniload asr
December 1st 2011 TGW Logistics Group is to install
automated mini-load storage and
retrieval (ASR) systems at logistics
service provider Simon Hegele's new
distribution centre near Frankfurt,
Germany.
When completed, the 50,000m2
centre will be the primary location
for Simon Hegele's spare parts
logistics service.
The automated mini-load
operation incorporates five aisles of
warehousing (which can be increased
to nine aisles if required) and a pickup
and delivery area with ten goods
receiving stations, eight picking
stations and four multifunctional
workstations that can be used to
perform value added services.
TGW's system includes the
company's Mustang Evolution mini-
load ASR machines and Twister load
