Rapid returns on offer
October 1st 2010

SSI Schaefer will showcase a number of innovative technologies from pick to light to the Orbiter – its recently launched deep pallet storage and retrieval system

Cutting edge automated systems offering rapid returns on investment will stand alongside more traditional solutions routes at the SSI Schaefer Group stand.

SSI Schaefer's experienced sales and technical team will be on hand to discuss the application of a variety of products, including the new Orbiter System (pictured) – a deep pallet storage and retrieval device which is said to lead the way in providing safe and controllable technology for this type of system.

The latest 'Silent Conveyor' system for quiet and ergonomic picking and order assembly will also be on show. SSI Schaefer has successfully introduced a new bespoke 'silent conveying system' into the logistics and warehousing market, following customer demand across a number of industry sectors, designed to reduce noise levels across an entire conveying system.

It will also highlight i-Pick, its entry-level pick-by-light system which is said to offer increased warehouse output levels by 300% over standard picking systems.

In addition, Joe Joyce, SSI Schaefer's new plastic development manager, will be showcasing a range of unique, environmentally friendly plastic containers using INTERCEPT technology.

The containers were developed to protect virtually any material from all climatic conditions and environmental influences, eg not emitting chemical gases and being recyclable. Stand 18N100
