Sweet commission
March 1st 2010 HARIBO, market leader in the jelly
sweets and liquorice sector, has
commissioned Swisslog to provide
turnkey delivery of a new automated
high bay warehouse system for
finished goods, raw materials and
supplies. The project will be realised
at HARIBO's Solingen site in
Germany. Swisslog has been
commissioned to act as general
contractor for this order.
Swisslog will provide all
construction and logistics services
for an automated high bay
warehouse, a goods handling hall
with automated pallet loading and
an annex building with offices,
meeting rooms and amenities. The
project also includes a conveyor belt
bridge to connect the automated
high bay warehouse and the
manufacturing area.
Construction is planned to start at
