Power and free conveyor chains gentle on goods August 1st 2007 Flexon says its latest Elite
power and free conveyor
chains feature finger and
component protection, are
gentle with chain
components and conveyed
goods – and boost safety.
Used mainly in feeding
systems, automation
engineering and to provide
gentle transportation of
workpiece carriers, for
example, the company says
power and free conveyor
chains are exceptionally
versatile. They are used as
links between stations of a
production or assembly line,
in warehouses and in a wide
range of material flow
systems – wherever
workpieces, finished
products, pallets, containers
or crates need to be moved,
stored, accelerated or
separated along defined
routes.
Standard power and free
conveyor chains have an
enlarged conveying roller
every other segment, which
transports the conveyed
materials and allows the
chain to pass underneath
queued material without
damaging it. The chain
bushings, which are attached
to the inner chain links, take
up the spaces between the
conveying rollers.
On the new Elite chains
these bushings cover the
spaces between the
conveying rollers almost
fully, providing complete
protection for chain
components and conveyed
goods, stopping small parts
getting into the chain links
and jamming the rollers or
links and preventing friction
wear of the conveying
rollers as well as friction
damage to the conveyed
goods. They also prevent
fingers from getting trapped.
Hardened steel and lowmaintenance
versions are
also available. More articles from Iwis Antriebssysteme GmbH Co KG: |
