Chinese spiral conveyor copier stopped January 1st 2010 Ambaflex International has
successfully brought a
lawsuit against Chinese
company, Shanghai Cabax
Engineering Co., which had
been manufacturing a direct
copy of one of the Dutch
company's spiral conveyors.
On 2nd December 2009, the
Shanghai Civil People's
Court of China ordered
Cabax, former Ambaflex
reseller, to stop
manufacturing the
infringing Spiral Conveyor and to
pay damage compensation.
Although the lawsuit
took more than a year,
according to AmbaFlexOver
the last few years have seen
the Chinese law became
more open for foreign
companies to successfully
file complaints relating to
patent infringements, partly
thanks to China's WTO
membership.
The case was prepared
and pleaded by CCPIT
Patent Law Office, Beijing. More articles from Ambaflex BV: |
