In the past Wolf Systems used a forklift to move one tonne pallet loads of boxed metal roofing nail plates from production to a warehouse 100m away. Now Conveyor Systems has provided a solution that saves on energy and labour, reduces forklift travel and increases security.
Twelve metres of heavy duty powered roller conveyor in the production despatch area allows the accumulation of six pallets inside the building. A single pallet is then presented on a 3m external conveyor section, which is zinc plated for weather protection. It is also reinforced to protect it from forklifts as they collect the pallets.
