Custom-built to keep Jaguar on the move

High efficiency automated stock handling facilities have been installed by European Conveyor Systems at the Merseyside factory of Johnston Controls, manufacturer of interior components for Jaguar Cars. Easy-to-operate, the custombuilt system eliminates manual handling, while maintaining accurate stock control.

It is designed to carry special stillages, each holding six car sets, from processing area to car door assembly area, transferring stock on a first-in, first-out basis. The area consists of 36 twin-strand chain conveyors on two levels, each capable of holding three stillages, with different sections accessed by automatic transfer cars and lifts.
