Fine tuned handling
February 1st 2011 When a specialist music, DVD/video
and computer games retailer looked
to create shopfloor space in its 40+
stores in and around the M25 by
reviewing delivery procedures from
its distribution centre, CSL was
appointed to integrate and interface
conveyor systems linking the various
operations.
Working closely with the main
contractor, a leading manufacturer of
labelling systems, CSL designed and
installed two lane sortation systems to
handle single or boxed sets of DVDs
and CDs – integrating and
interfacing this with labelling
equipment. Product is singulated on
twin slat low friction timing belts and
datum edged to centralise feed to the
