Gladitor slipup solvedAugust 1st 2008
Belting manufacturer, Habasit Rossi, stepped in to ensure that Sky One's new 'Gladiator' series got underway on time by delivering on its 24:7 service promise.
With only hours to go before filming was due to start, the famous 'travelator' challenge was trialled and deemed too slippery and dangerous now a water feature had been added.
Autovation, the company who provided the 'travelators', is a longstanding Habasit Rossi customer. Once the problem was discovered a specialist team of engineers from Habasit Rossi, was called in to replace the original belting with two high friction modular HabasitLINK® GripTop belts with less than 12 hours to go before filming started.
