Following a move from facilities in Wrexham to Horwich, tissue, paper and packaging products manufacturer and distributor, Georgia-Pacific turned to Astec Conveyors to provide spiral conveyors for a number of conveying lines.
Various sized cartons are transported on two conveyors from the ground floor to an upper level.
Inclined belt conveyors could not be used as the angles would be too acute, resulting in product slippage. The two spiral conveyors from Astec provide continuous, smooth vertical transfer in a small footprint area.
