Packaging waste removal

Following the successful installation of integrated order picking/packing lines at Pauleys of Corby, Conveyor Systems Limited (CSL), was approached to provide packaging waste removal from the ordering picking face.

CSL designed and installed an automatic waste removal belt conveyor, located above the racking. Empty cartons are simply removed from the live storage shelving by order pickers and placed on the 25m belt, which operates the length of the pickface at an energy efficient speed of five metres per minute.

A 500mm high back guard prevents waste being thrown over the racking, collecting it on the 600mm wide belt.
