Quick release belt mechanism

A patented feature of Gramac powered belt bends, the quick release mechanism enables two maintenance engineers to change a damaged or worn conveyor belt in less than 10 minutes.

Corner units and bends have a more complicated construction than straight sections and therefore need more frequent servicing. Most maintenance requires the removal of the belt from the rollers, often causing difficulties and down time.

Supplied by Quartz Systems, the Gramac design releases the guide wheel assembly along the belt, simply by loosening the locking belts, allowing a vulcanised belt to be changed with considerable speed.

The latest versions of the corner unit have the bolt locking mechanism replaced by an over centre locking mechanism for even quicker separation of the track way parts.
