Sorted for split trays? February 1st 2005 Polymark says its latest Eurosort EPS-series of split-tray sorters, capable of sorting up to 14,000 items per hour, enable highly efficient, compact operations since items are discharged vertically ready for onwards transfer to packing stations. Each split-tray is held in an individual aluminium frame carrier. A number of carriers link to create a complete flow-path over desired drop positions. As items enter the sorter, either manually or automatically, they are automatically monitored so that warehouse management software can control the discharge of the tray.
At the correct location each tray automatically opens – allowing items to drop vertically into a shipping pack, tote bin or down a chute ready for final packing and despatch. More articles from Polymark Gartner: |
