Speeding up steel August 1st 2008 A new a conveyor system
has speeded up storage
processes at Barber of
Sheffield, suppliers of
steel products ranging
from tattoo and piercing
equipment to veterinary
needles. The mezzanine
floor conveyor, installed
by Rusmail, replaces a
system which relied on
operatives loading the
mezzanine floor using the
stairway.
"The business was
expanding and it was
becoming increasingly
time consuming to load in
this way, not to mention a
health and safety issue
handling the larger,
heavier boxes of product
up a flight of stairs,"
explains Tom Royston,
warehouse manager.
"The Rusmail solution
makes everything quicker
and safer, allowing us to
operate at capacity. Also
thanks to the installation
team communicating with
us at every stage, it made
for a smooth transition to
becoming automated." More articles from Rusmail Conveyor Systems Ltd: |
