Tilting screw conveyor

Bulk solids handling specialist, Flexicon (Europe), specialises in the design and installation of flexible screw conveyor systems.A particular area of expertise is the flexibility to negotiate round obstacles such as in-situ plant, support piers and so on.

As the conveyor systems themselves can sometimes become an obstacle, Flexicon has designed a tilting, portable, flexible screw conveyor that is able to move through low doorways, and around and under obstructions. This is of particular benefit in overcrowded areas with restricted gangways.

In the photograph the portable base is mounted on castors for mobility and the tilting of the entire support structure of the conveyor and the hopper can be carried out using a manual jack. This lowers the height of the drive for transport while maintaining the overall integrity of the conveyor routing.
