Trolley-less garment conveying
June 1st 2004

SDI Greenstone has launched a trolley-less system for hanging garment conveyors that is said to be revolutionary.

Speed-rail cuts down the manual handling associated with trolley systems and provides high storage density with more efficient use of available space. The system is maintenance free, providing higher reliability and lower running costs. It also minimises risk of product damage.

Consisting of a supported running track with two-way, three-way and drop-off switches, Speed-Rail can be built to almost any configuration. It is said to be ideal for moving hanging garments over short to medium distances, particularly in receiving, consolidation and sortation areas.

The system has been designed to accommodate the widest possible range of hanger types and sizes.
