Univeyor's largest ever order December 1st 2005 Univeyor has won its largest ever order. The £6.6m contract was awarded by Daifuku on behalf of Scandinavian grocery retailer, ICA.
The focal point of the order is at ICA's new distribution centre, which will distribute products throughout Southern Sweden. Univeyor has carried out a comprehensive simulation exercise to identify potential bottlenecks and confirm the configuration of the final system.
"Univeyor was a natural choice for a key supplier for packaging and handling systems," says Daifuku technical manager, Brian Whale. "We have cooperated closely with them on past projects and they have considerable experience in key areas such as returnable box handling, depalletising and collation.
The innovative Univeyor Layer Picker was also an important factor when it came to choosing a supplier."
A Univeyor system is also installed at the awardwinning NETTO distribution centre in Koge, Denmark. More articles from Univeyor A/S: |
