Warehouse conveying system February 1st 2006 Peer Conveyors has completed the design, manufacture and installation of a warehouse conveying system for Bell Microproducts Europe on time and to budget.
The design for the computer hardware and software distributor included the integration of new and existing equipment.
Installation was carried out with minimal disruption.
The system uses a new lineshaft carousel conveyor with a lowered existing roller bed to enable order pick boxes with raised flaps to be transported underneath.
Additional non-powered infill rollers provide a closer pitch to ensure maximum flexibility in handling cartons of various sizes.
To ensure an ergonomic working position, the 16 packing stations include modular work platforms that provide an appropriate working height.
The system handles cartons weighing up to 20kg each, on a nine hour shift.
