Welconstruct best for Morrisons
June 1st 2005 Needing to automate one of its distribution units, WM Morrison Produce found Welconstruct Customer Solutions to be the most suitable conveyor supplier.
The automation of the fruit and vegetable DC in Thrapston means Morrisons can now pick and pack items at a rate of 4,000 per hour.
“Morrisons needed a facility which was capable of generating a larger quantity of produce. We were asked to put forward a complete package, which included helping with the design and specification,” explains project manager, Tony Jauncey. “This resulted in a bespoke conveyor application which was installed and lineshaftrunning within six weeks of the initial order date.” More articles from Welconstruct: |
