Wetsuit handling system
June 1st 2004 Independent storage solutions provider, Warehouse Systems Limited (WSL) has recently installed a complete garment racking, handling and distribution system for wetsuit manufacturer, ONeill.
The distribution system requires the storage of 30,000 garments with a weekly turnaround of up to 400 garments, plus the provision of carton shelved storage for 2250 units.
The installation covers two floors. The upper floor of the facility has been fitted out with a series of cantilever hanging systems that include single, double and triple arrangements. Two reversible trolley conveyors provide a direct link between the upper floor and the ground floor, with the capacity to carry goods in either direction.
On the ground floor an overhead monorail system services the cantilever racking, while a 3m traverse loading boom has significantly increased the speed of vehicle loading and unloading. More articles from Warehouse Systems Limited: |
