Kaybe helps Hot Wheels burn rubber
February 1st 2005

Poole-based American bike importers, Hot Wheels, has alleviated its unloading headache by approaching Kaybe Conveyors.

After an assessment of the company’s needs, Kaybe recommended a fully integrated system incorporating its Maxi Penetrator and Powerflex conveyors – designed to reduce labour costs by over 400%.

The penetrator's’ mobile belt conveyor has a boom construction with the main boom extending in and out of the loading/unloading vehicle. Boom mounted controls allow precise control from within the vehicle loading area. Bikes can then be transferred to floor level by the second boom.

Once at working height, the goods are transferred to a Kaybe Powerstretch conveyor. This mobile flexi unit extends and bends to allow the bikes to be delivered to the required position. Being driven, it removes the need for gravity over long distances.

The system is also fully reversible to allow loading.
