Transnorm is reported to have a more than 50% share of the market for curve belt technology.
Among Transnorm's product range, the SmartSort distribution conveyor is capable of sorting 2000 boxes of differing sizes per hour, with a continuous speed of 1.7m/s, smoothly distributing them without twisting or guiding with sided guides.
In a typical SmartSort application, a system processes fast moving software products and games consoles at the distribution centre of game and CD distributor, Arvato, which has headquarters in the Cologne-Bonn area of Germany.
A pioneer of swivel roller technology since the early ‘90s, Transnorm has fitted a system that copes with peak-period picking of up to 20,000 items for distribution to wholesalers and retailers all over Europe.
