Sortation innovation all the rage December 1st 2007 FKI Logistex's latest high speed, high
accuracy sortation systems have been
chosen by Joseph Witt to help meet future
growth in mail order and e-commerce
fashion sales. Due to be handed over in
October next year, the 27,500m2 facility
will incorporate FKI's LS-4000CB cross-belt
sorters and one LS-4000E tilt-tray sorter.
The models use a common platform
designed to enhance system flexibility and
incorporate a new, advanced, energy
system, specially developed to reduce
operating costs. The units increase
handling and distribution efficiencies
while decreasing product life cycle
ownership costs.
The LS-4000E sorts single-tray items up
to one metre x one metre and weighing up
to 50kg, with functionality to sort larger
items if required. The LS-4000CB sorter
provides precise positioning and gentle
handling for high-friction and fragile items
and maximising performance in overnight
delivery
applications. More articles from FKI Logistex: |
