Damage deterrent with visible results
August 1st 2008

Companies shipping goods need to ensure that consignments reach customers in prime condition, says Lamerholm.

Company reputation is at stake and the return of damaged goods will eat into profits. Lamerholm is a range of labels that provide a cost-effective damage deterrent when shipping goods.

ShockWatch labels are self-adhesive, highly visible labels that indicate when a product has been exposed to impact. The labels monitor conditions and their use helps to reduce transport related damage.

The colour-coded labels are available in five sensitivities from 25G to 100G.

Lamerholm says over 100 million labels have been sold worldwide and a range of companies have seen damage reduce by between 50–90%.

Lamerholm also supply TiltWatch, a system that helps to ensure sensitive products are kept in an upright position while being shipped. With a simple onestep application, the device is automatically armed when the adhesive backing is removed and once applied to the package cannot be reset. The indicator on the label will activate and change to red if shipments are tilted over 80°.
