Robson is reported to have helped
tanker operator,Wheyfeed, improve
operating efficiency and profitability.
In addition to the supply of its
own range of animal feeds,
Wheyfeed provides bulk
transportation of by-products from
food and other manufacturing
operations to farms and animal feed
operations throughout the UK.
Based in Nottinghamshire,Wheyfeed
operates from a network of nine
locations throughout the UK and
runs a fleet of 30 vehicles.
Following a
comprehensive review,
Davies & Robson identified major
improvements in the planning and
execution of the collection and
delivery operations, including the
introduction of measures to improve
vehicle fill and to allow profit and
loss for each vehicle shift to be
accurately calculated. As a result of
Davies & Robson's recommendations,
Wheyfeed also now uses a
number of sub-contractors,
supporting a reduction in the core
