Meachers secures tnt trunking deal
September 1st 2010 Meachers Global Logistics has
announced securing a trunking deal
and entering into a partnership
agreement with international
business-to-business express delivery
provider TNT.
The new venture will see Meachers
Global Logistics utilise 25 of its
articulated vehicles to trunk freight
overnight from TNT's regional
facility in Southampton to its
national sorting hub in the
Midlands.
The move follows Meachers
Global Logistics recently announcing
that it has entered into an agreement
with Red Funnel Distribution, to
support the company with its UK
collections.
Commenting on the partnership,
Gary Whittle, commercial director,
Meachers Global Logistics, said: "We
are delighted to be working with a
household brand like TNT. This is
our second major partnership
announcement in the last two
months and we are continuing to
look at ways to collaborate with
