Packaging), has supplied
an intricate system to
Alcan Packaging. The
machine fits in a
confined space, yet has
all the capabilities of a
full size machine.
Alcan Packaging had
three types of palletised
load which required
securing to varying
degrees. The bespoke
system supplied includes
a floor level pallet drop
off point; pallet lift to
move the pallet to system
height; detection of pallet
type and size by photo
cell technology to confirm
what the operator had
told the machine; and
wagon transfer to take
the pallet to the strapping
system if required.

strap through the pallet
void is also part of the
system, along with a
machine to wrap the
pallet, with 90° exit point
and roller system that lifts
the reels off the pallet
and turns whilst wrapping
the top to ensure a totally
enclosed pack.
A pallet lowering
device lowers the pallet to
floor level ready for it to
be taken by the operator.
Safety fencing and
