Compact intelligent palletiser December 1st 2011 Designed specifically for palletising,
Kawasaki Robotic's RD080N is
lighter than its predecessor and
maintains its rigid construction. Duty
cycle tests illustrate its high speed by
performing 2800 cycles, with 80kg
payloads, of 75mm vertical and
900mm horizontal an average
individual cycle time of 1.28 seconds.
For multi-robot environments,
typical in busy end of line areas, the
RD080N provides a less-crowded
solution. Its width at 584mm is
claimed to be class leading, while its
reach of 2.1m and palletising height
up to 3.31m comfortably meet
conventional palletising demands.
Although a conventional 4 axis
palletiser, the RD080N does have a
5th axes compensation joint which
maintains a parallel wrist face. This
joint allows plus or minus 10° of
movement and can be conveniently
utilised to allow placement of layer
cards/separators or tighter packing of
products into open containers. More articles from Kawasaki Robotics UK Ltd: |
