Pallet pooling for dulux

Akzonobel UK Decorative Coatings Business Unit, manufacturer of brands such as Dulux, has appointed IPP Logipal to provide a pallet pooling service for delivering its products to DIY centres and retail outlets in the UK.

With several customers increasing quality control checks on incoming pallets, AkzoNobel appointed IPP Logipal to ensure Dulux products were consistently distributed on highquality pallets across the UK.

David Macrae, AkzoNobel's UK logistics manager, says: "To increase the efficiency of our supply chain we required a pallet solution provider with a high regard for quality that will work proactively with AkzoNobel manufacturing sites and our third party logistics provider, TDG, to deliver continuous improvement in our operations.

"We are pleased to work in partnership with IPP Logipal in developing a successful relationship."
