Pallet provider keeps toiletries moving April 1st 2008 European pallet service
provider IPP Logipal has
won a new contract with
Acheson and Acheson,
manufacturer of toiletry
products and will distribute
products using its one-way
trip system.
This simple process allows
the company to order pallets
on a need-to-use basis and
lets IPP Logipal take care of
the rest, including quality
control and collection. The
agreement initially covers
the nationwide Sainsbury's
business.
Operating from its
Newport location and using
standard 1200 x 1000mm
pallets, IPP Logipal pallets
are projected to carry over
400 000 cases, covering
more than 150 stock
keeping units for the
customer for the next 12
months.
During peak periods, the
flexible service is critical in
supporting Acheson and
Acheson, as demand for
products increases
significantly.
Supply manager, Ellie
Davies, says: "The effect of
introducing IPP Logipal into
our supply chain has been
so marked that we are now
planning to extend our
relationship to use IPP
Logipal pallets with our
other customers." More articles from FHG IPP UK & Ireland: |
