Trialling waste recycling June 1st 2009 Pall-Ex has teamed up with
waste and recycling
specialists the green house to
form Eco-Pall, a cost-effective
recycling take-back service.
Pall-Ex members will collect
cardboard and plastic
wrapping materials from
customers that will then be
recycled.
"The system has a number
of benefits and will go some
way to reducing carbon
footprints," says Adrian
Russell, Pall-Ex MD.
"Collecting waste materials at
the same time as delivering
goods, is more
environmentally friendly and
the customer does not need
to pay a separate fee to have
the waste removed."
The scheme is being
trialled by Pall-Ex
Nottingham, Mini Clipper in
Leighton Buzzard, J Long &
Sons in Leeds and CJ Express
in Hull. Network members
will return recyclable waste
to their depot, where it will
be baled using specialist
equipment supplied to them.
If the trial is successful, the
scheme will be implemented
throughout the UK with Pall-
Ex's member companies. More articles from Pall-Ex UK Ltd: |
