High speed wrapping solution
February 1st 2006 When Waters and Robson increased production of its natural mineral water products it needed a fast, reliable stretch wrapping solution to work in line with the newly installed bottling line. To fulfil this requirement it became the first UK company to purchase a new Mancon 1710 from M. J. Maillis.
Said to be one of the fastest strapping solutions on the market, this stretch wrapper was selected for its speed of operations; its ability to complete the wrapping cycle without need for contact with the product; the space saving benefit of wrapping inline without he need for product rotation;, and the ability to apply stretch wrap of varying tensions depending on the nature of the products.
Following on from Maillis's Mancon 2201 ring-type stretch wrapper, the Mancon 1710 has a more compact footprint.
Capable of wrapping over 120 pallets per hour, it uses 500mm film roll.
Thanks to patented infrared technology, the machine provides highspeed, maintenance-free seaming and cut off, without the need for wires or tapes.
Siemens S7-200/300 PLCs, linked to a TP 27 operator interface give a simple and reliable view of the wrapping cycle and fault finding.
