Carousel’s a great all rounder

When Printech UK relocated to new larger premises, a prime consideration was to reduce the amount of floor space consumed by its large range of spare parts.

The company solved the problem by choosing a Linpic Vertical Storage Carousel.

This resulted in a 60% saving compared to that previously occupied by its conventional racking. Although it was not a major issue, security of the products was also improved.

The machine is lockable and the on-board computer may be programmed to allow selective access only. Linking the carousel up to the mainframe also facilitated greater control over stock levels and re-order procedures. This in turn resulted in a reduction of overstocking/out of stock incidents. There has also been a considerable reduction in the amount of time spent loading and/or picking items from stock.
