Chocs away with Girotec

Minimizing the risk of back injury and portability were the major factors Thornton’s decision to order a Girotec RD 202 portable pallet-wrapper from Orion Packaging.

Ian Pickering, distribution manager at Thorntons’ Somercotes distribution centre, specified the RD 202 to hadle own label orders for Thorntons’ supermarket customers.

“We’d been looking for a machine like the RD 202 for some time,” said Ian.

“The rotary arm automated the wrapping process and its portability meant we could wrap pallets at any point in the warehouse.”
