Quick payback from sweeper

Broadwood International's Sweepex will provide a short payback period for TWA Logistics based on labour savings alone, it is claimed.

Instead of several hours a week spent manually sweeping the 2-acre yard, the Broadwood SweepEx is attached to a forklift in around a minute and sweeping completed in less than half an hour, saving the company 3 to 4 hours a week in manual labour.

"The Broadwood SweepEx is really efficient yet very simple to use. One of our forklift truck drivers attaches it to the forklift in moments and the whole site is swept and looking pristine in minutes. Our drivers are delighted they no longer have to sweep up manually.

They really enjoy using the SweepEx as they can physically see the difference and it makes," said managing director, Trevor Ashton.

The compact SweepEx design allows a powerful sweeping action both forwards and backwards enabling rapid, efficient and economical sweeping of large areas. The tough system is able to withstand severe environments as the broom heads and mounting hardware are manufactured from industrial strength steel, with heavy-duty powder coat finish. The high-grade polypropylene brush section has rows of 30cm bristles for effective sweeping. Very robust, the brushes will provide around 450 miles of sweeping before they need changing.
