Following advice from Euromec, Newcastle airport recently purchased a Powerflex to meet its cleaning needs. Powerflex is a multipurpose machine that keeps the airport clean and carries out other essential tasks.

It has a range of interchangeable attachments that enable it to complete a multitude of tasks. Apart from the sweeping attachments, there are attachments for winter maintenance, such as snowploughs and blowers, and attachments for grounds maintenance such as mowers and rakes.

Commenting on the Powerflex's cleaning ability, Peter Rea of Newcastle Airport stated, "This one man operated vehicle is very manoeuvrable and has enabled us to clean areas that previously had to be cleaned manually."
