Eiger doors installed at sainsbury's January 1st 2011 Union Industries has completed a
series of Eiger freezer door
installations at Sainsbury's Elstree
depot in Borehamwood.
The Leeds-based company has
worked with the supermarket giant to
provide an energy barrier for the new
freezer upgrade on site. Five Eiger
Doors in total have been installed at
the depot as part of this project, one
being a huge 20m sq door.
Sainsbury's required reliable, low
maintenance doors which would
reduce temperature change in its
upgraded freezer area.
Jim Bristow, Sainsbury's operations
support manager for logistics, strategy
& development says: "Saving energy is
very important to Sainsbury's so the
Eiger doors were an obvious choice
when we required new doors for our
Elstree depot.We have been very
impressed with the quality and
reliability of the Eiger doors." More articles from Union Industries: |
