Ramdoors speed proves worth May 1st 2011 Union Industries is helping
John Pointon & Sons
address environmental
challenges at its new build
operation in Staffordshire.
In order to combat
environmental issues, three
of Union's heavy-duty
Ramdoors of 4.85m wide x
6.0m high have been
installed in the external doorways of
a new production line area. Thes
almost constant forklift traffic
meaning they would be constantly
open, causing odours and noise to be
released into the immediate outside
area.
The fast speeds at which
the Ram doors open and
close, approximately 1.0m
per second, helps combat
these problems. The doors
are open for the minimum
amount of time possible
before closing
automatically, meaning
odour and noise egress is
kept to a minimum. More articles from Union Industries: |
