Rapid action doors

Following previous satisfactory service and door performance, when new rapid action doors were needed at Dennis Eagle’s finishing shop the company specified Crawford products.

New manufacturing equipment and a redesign of production line layout at the vehicle manufacturer’s Blackpool depot led to the need for two new fast acting doors for movement into and out of the finishing shop.

With a number of Crawford doors already on site, production manager, Ken Cowell appreciated the benefit of a single supplier.

"Although we already have a number of Crawford doors on site and have always been very pleased with their performance and the service we receive from Crawford, I needed to check out what else was available and compare the performance of different doors and of course the costs," he explained.

Created to fit the large inbound door opening the larger, 5270mm x 4100mm Crawford fast acting door is manufactured from a strong material capable of withstanding a higher wind load. Heavy duty operating gear handles the additional weight of the material.
