Radios improve traffic services March 1st 2011 Mouchel Parkman PLC provide on
street traffic management services to
local councils in the UK.
Having won the contract to manage
traffic in the London Borough of
Newham, (base for the London 2012
Olympics),Mouchel invested in a
digital two-way radio communications
system, incorporating Lone Worker
alarms with location provided by GPS.
Radio Links Communications
proposed that Mouchel invest in new
technology,Motorola DMR Digital
Radios. This solution allowed Mouchel
to integrate its new radios with a
NeoNytro GPS location software
package, that would provide location
information for each member of
staff with a radio. Each warden is
equipped with a Motorola DP3401
hand portable- radio, which provides
two-way voice communications with
the control room, with GPS built in.
This radio system includes health and
safety features such as Lone Worker
Monitoring and a Panic Button. |
