Flooring system cuts time and costs

A pumped terrazzo flooring system that is typically half the price of tiling to install and can generally be completed in one third of the time is now available from CG Flooring Systems.

The new flooring, called Fastraz, is a polymer-modified cementitious self-smoothing material that incorporates small fragments of coloured aggregate to produce an attractive, hard-wearing surface in a single continuous application. It can be applied at a rate of 100m2 per man per day, compared with about 10m2 of terrazzo tiling.

After curing for 12 to 46 hours, the Fastraz surface is sealed and polished to produce a long lasting, glossy finish. Solvent free and odourless, it is particularly suitable for applications involving food.
