ASG Services has completed a comprehensive floor marking and rack labelling installation at Henkel Loctite Adhesives’ new Cheshire facility.

The new DC is now shipping some 10.5m cases of products that include the famous Loctite, Unibond and Solvite brands. By using ASG, Henkel has been able to use a single supplier for labelling and floor marking.

Using a two-part epoxy coating applied after shot blast preparation of the floor, ASG’s lane marking installation fulfils a number of specific requirements.

Running across the building is a clearly marked green pedestrian walkway that is designed to provide the optimum route from one side of the warehouse to the other and also to ensure segregation of materials handling equipment and personnel.

The site is centred on a total of 18 back-to-back racking aisles, with sufficient space to incorporate a number of additional VNA runs. These also benefit from ASG Services’ supply capability with individual labels assigned to the eight beam levels for the 13,000 pallet positions on the site – which has future growth capacity if required. Featuring both alpha-numeric and barcode identification, these provide an interface for stock management using handheld scanners
