DDA tubular fittings
June 1st 2005

To help ensure all commercial and public buildings satisfy the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Building Regulations Pt.M:2004, Kee Klamp has introduced a new range of galvanised iron fittings.

Under the DDA, all commercial and public building owners are obliged to provide nondiscriminatory balustrading and handrailing on stairways and ramps. The Building Regulations recommend an outside diameter tube size for such installations of between 40mm- 45mm. The new 500 Range of Kee Klamp fittings is specifically designed to give a smooth handrail with size 7 tube (outside diameter 42.4mm) and is therefore compatible with the DDA recommendations.
