Quick coat system for concrete

The UK launch of RapidShield has been announced by industrial processing products company Quaker Chemical. The UV-curable floor coating system has been developed, tried and tested across the USA and is designed for use on new or existing concrete floors.

After application, RapidShield is instantly cured by a UV-light emitting portable unit, which turns the coating into a solid film that bonds to the substrate.

Quaker says the floor is ready for use within minutes, avoiding lengthy interuptions to production. The finish is durable and non-slip, and can be matt or gloss.
