Conveying goods inward April 1st 2009 Amber Automation has
successfully installed a fully
integrated conveying system
at the warehouse of Retail
Variations, transferring
goods from the vehicle
unloading bay into various
storage areas.
The contract was to
supply a conveying system
to service the needs of the
distribution depot, handling
cartons and plastic tote
boxes of goods from
incoming vehicles to specific
storage areas. Incoming
goods are transported via an
operator-input station,
scanned and diverted
electronically to bulk storage
located at ground level and
on two mezzanine floors.
Amber Automation
provided a 'one stop source'
service, designing the
system, manufacturing,
installing and
commissioning, including
writing of PLC software and
