Efficient loading at minimum cost August 1st 2009 Sales of the Joloda Skate &
Track system have now
topped 500,000 units and
the product is said to be in
operation in almost every
corner of the globe.
According to the
company, in the current
economic downturn the
Skate & Track system is an
obvious choice for those
wanting to run an efficient
transport operation at
minimum cost. The system
consists simply of a set of
skates, track and safety stops
that act as a braking system.
The skates are placed in
recessed tracks either in the
trailer or dock floor and, in
the skates lowered position,
rolled under the load. The
skates and load are simply
raised by pulling down the
handle. This means the load,
weighing up to 3.5t, is 'live'
and can be freely pushed the
length of the trailer or out
on to a dock. The skates are
manual and automatic
breaking, self-centring and
minimal maintenance as the
system self-cleans in use.
It is claimed the system
allows loading at 33% faster
rate than the conventional
method and the tracked
system guarantees 12mm
repeat positioning of the
load from the trailer sidewalls
and roof, which
eliminates the need for tie
downs and shoring poles,
maximising space utilisation
and preventing product
damage More articles from Joloda International Ltd: |
