Platform certified
February 1st 2009 Following extensive testing,
Caljan Rite-Hite's ManRider
operator platform has been
certified as complying with
the requirements specified
in the Machine Directive
98/37/EC.
Used to control Caljan
BeltTrack boom conveyors
from, the platform has
integral anti-collision panels
back, front and underneath.
These panels activate a
safety stop that immobilises
the conveyor should the
operator inadvertently move
too close to the floor or the
end of the container.
Sensors can also be fitted
to the ManRider platform to
detect the distance to the
ceiling. A safety hand-rail
and an anti-slip floor plate
reduce the risk of the
operator falling from the
