Prevents unwanted trailer departure

Caljan Rite-Hite is helping Unilever to maintain safety standards at its depot in Leeds by supplying seven Global Wheel Locks (GWLs).

The GWL is a wheel restraint that prevents unwanted trailer departure from the loading bay.

Designed for vehicles with rear axles up to 4000mm from the back of the trailer, such as continental container vehicles, the GWLs interlock with existing dock equipment at the depot.

Ron Martin from Unilever commented, "The GWLs have resulted in improved safety for personnel when loading trailers, and have proved to be a worthwhile investment.

We have been so pleased with the products and service provided by Caljan Rite-Hite, that we are looking at the possibility of installing another loading bay, which would make further use of the wheel restraints."
